Friday, September 8

Hey hey hey! I feel like doing another LONG post, with photos included. Haha. Don't know what's with me and long posts and photos these days but yeah, I guess they're pretty good reads if I feel like I miss anything.

Yesterday was my baby brother's birthday! Okay, I have to confess, he's seven years old and not seven months but I can't help it.

Also yesterday, we had a field trip to Pulau Semakau. Shayne made me go. But anyway, I loved it. The sea's like the prettiest thing ever! We all took like plenty of photos. I took 65 to be exact, haha.

Okay, so we met in school. Sat next to Shayne in the bus with Alyssa and Elaine in front. I got this REALLY funny close up picture of Elaine but I don't think I can't post it. Haha.

Me and my old desk mate (again) :P

So so so, semakau. Guess how much they spent building it.

! Its like, spending $610 million on a big BIG trashcan. And you can't even throw all sorts of rubbish in it, you're only allowed to throw ash and non-combustable stuff into it. You can't even puke into it.

We reached the Marina South Pier where we were supposed to wait for the ferry to bring us there. I think its a really nice place! Took pictures there.

See the roof? I think its really nice that they make it like this to remind us about the waves in the ocean :D

Vivian, Elaine, Shayne, Alyssa, me (:

I think it looks so blue and calm and all. Love it.

After like really long we boarded the boat.

The eye in front makes it look .. Hahaha.

Shayne and Elaine (:

They gave us like five minutes to walk around on the boat while it sailed out to the rough and mighty seas. Hahaha, okay, no way, Singapore waters are like so gentle.

Shayne sucks haha.

Titanic shot :P

Okay, so after we all sat down, the tour guy went on about Singapore's southern islands and how they contribute to the enocomy. Pretty good stuff. Shan't talk about that because it might seem so boring. After a long long journey, we reached semakau.

This is not the dustbin part YET (:

We boarded this SUPER cute OLD DAYS SCHOOL BUS.

Its like being transported back to the seventies and you're going to school with all your thick-headedhaired friends. The guys would have like, suspenders and the girls would wear huge hoop earrings. Sigh how cute (:

We went on a tour of the island. First we went through this building where they loaded the ash onto trucks. Plain. Gross. Then we were back out in the open.

Isn't the pink tank cute. I think its to store diesel or something.

We got off the bus after a long and bumpy ride. And guess where we were! We were at this really beautiful place at the ocean. Oh my gosh. The wind felt so nice and it was so pretty and quiet. Love love love it.

Small windmill. Haha. I don't have photos of the ocean. They didn't turn out nice. I guess you just have to be there to experience the whole package. Haha. Okay enough about the ocean.

Hahaha so cute, that sign. We took a bollywood-style picture (all of us peeked out from a coconut tree) but it didn't turn out that nice. Haha.

After a while we went back to the old school bus and went all the way back to the building. We had a short break and then we went into this conference room. They held a short presentation about Singapore's rubbish dumping system.

We went back onto the boat and left for Singapore. Didn't expect Semakau to be so pretty. But its only the coast, not the rubbish. Heh heh.

We played this game on the way back. We had to drop an egg from 2 meters up in the air and make sure it doesn't crack with the help of 2 balloons, magazines, a rubber band and masking tape.

OMG looks like a demented heart.

And this,

Is the egg that survived the 2 meter drop (:

I totally adore the wonderful scent of sucess. Inhale it!

Me, Aly (:

DO YOU SEE THE BIRD! OMG you know on the ferry, Shayne was like, omg I see a bird! and started trying to take a picture of it. Then I was like, okay, let's see who can take a sucessful shot of it first, and TADAA. Hahaha.

Suicide shot.

Those are Elaine's shoes, by the way. Haha.

We were reaching Marina Bay when we saw this bride and groom taking their wedding shots! The whole boat started cheering and clapping and waving. The tour guide was like shouting, CONTGRATULATIONS!

Whoever you are, where ever you two are, CONGRATULATIONS! :D

We took the bus back to school and I took another bus home. So so super tired.

Sigh what a long post. Hahaha. Okay really tired now. Goodnight (:
